Introduction
Software Overview
Ø Dear
Customers, Thanks for using the pattern design software of RaynenQili. we
recommend you to read the help manual for proper installation and use of the
pattern design software.
Ø The
software has the automatic programming function and is used for automatically
generating control data of the lower computer of the computerized flat knitting
machine. Its main functions include
pattern design, image analysis, automatic compiling, data transmission, etc.
Operating Environment
Ø Operating
system: Windows 7/8/10 Simplified Chinese or English Edition. Some of the functions can't be used on Windows XP systems
Ø CPU: Intel Pentium 500MHz or
AMD Anthon 500 MHz above.
Ø Memory: 1G or above
Ø Display: A resolution of
1024x768 or above is recommended
Installation and Start-up
Installation of Pattern Programming Software
Double-click the of software installation:
Display the following figure.
Click ok, the next step:
Click “Next”:
Select “I accept the agreement”, click “Next”:
Select Installation path, click
“Next”
According to necessary, select or unselect the "Don’t create the Start menu folder", click “Next”:
Select the creating option for,

Introduction of Main Functional Modules
Graphic Design
Ø Select the
drop-down menu, toolbar and toolbox icon, and then the pattern can be easily
designed. Main graphic elements include the point, line, rectangle, Ellipse,
diamond, polygon, etc. Main functions include color change, array copy, linear
copy, multiple copy, mirror image copy, etc. Such operations as copy of circled
areas, color filling, rotation, expansion, deletion, cutting and pasting can be
conducted easily.
File Types
(1) KNI File
Ø This is the
pattern file of Raynen-Qili KnitCAD, and is generated automatically after being
saved. It can be open directly by double click. Apply to the sweater knitting
flat machine.
(2) 001 File
Ø This is the
machine file of the enhanced machine. The “*.001” file achieved by Raynen-Qili
KnitCAD compiltion.
(3) KNS File
Ø This is the
pattern file of the “Raynen Qili shoe design system”, and is generated
automatically after being saved. Apply to the knitting vamp design.
Ø Note: The “Raynen
Qili shoe design system” need to be encryption lock to open.
(4) RNS File
Ø This is the
shoe machine file. The “*.RNS” file achieved by “Raynen Qili shoe design
system”compiltion. And the machine control system need to support the “*.RNS” file.
(5) CNT, PAT, PRM, SET and YAR Files
Ø
These files are the knitting files of the ordinary machine.
l CNT: Consisting of knitting parameters of the machine. Therefore,
it must be imported before knitting.
l PAT: Consisting of needle action information, the needle will act
according to it. Therefore, it must be imported before machine running.
l PRM:
Consisting of pattern cycle information, it must be imported before machine
running.
l
SET: Pattern expansion file.
l YAR: Consisting of the information of the yarn carrier, such as
corresponding No. and knitting range of the yarn carrier.
Knitting specification input and Shape
The
user can use the Shape function in the software, and the required pattern
can be generated automatically by entering parameters of the specification.
Compiler
Ø The system
can automatically generate the 001 (or RNS) file required by the control system
of the machine according to the information of the KNI (or KNS) file. In case
of the KNI (or KNS) information is incomplete or ambiguous, error prompts will
be generated, and the corresponding pattern row numbers and causes will be
indicated. Meanwhile, the compiler can automatically detect collision of the
needles of front and rear beds.
Ø The
compiler has the powerful automatic processing functions, such as automatic yarn kicking, pleating, floating yarn
treatment, etc.
Ø After
compilation, the results of compilation can be viewed via the PAT Editor and De-compiler.
2 Menu Bar
The menu bar is red selected area
in the following figure:
File
Ø New:Create a new canvas. Machine type and parameters can
be selected and viewed.
Ø Open: Open the saved pattern
file (KNI/Dat/ BMP type).
Ø Open cloud file: Open the
pattern file to safe the cloud. Open file need to login cloud.
Ø Save: Save the current
design file (KNI type) to the storage location.
Ø Savw cloud
file: Save the current design file (KNI type) to cloud. Open file need to login cloud.
Ø Save as: Save as the current
design file (KNI type) to appointed path.
Ø Import area figure: Import
vamp area figure (BMP type) to the area layer.
Ø Import BMP
(I): Open other file types (BMP and Dat types) on the RaynenQili pattern design system.
Ø Import new
BMP (I): Apply to save the stitch figure and the function line separately to the two BMP files. The stitch figure
BMP file is selected in the first, then the corresponding function line BMP is selected.
Ø Export BMP: Export the
current pattern file to BMP type.
Ø Save order:
Save the current file to the order, combined with order management. The file
name and order number can be modified when file is saved.
Ø Barcode Management: Detailed
introduction is in toolbar
barcode management chapter.
Ø Exit: Exit system and stop using.
Edit
Ø Select all: Select all
drawing area of the current pattern.
Ø Go to: Skip to the appointed line. Appointed line number is manually inputted on Settings interface:
View
Ø Carrier
direction: Not selected, not display the carriage direction when
cursor has
stoped on the appointed line.
Ø Combine
pattern and organization: After selected, the content of
pattern layer is
dislayed in organization layer.
Ø Merging
display pattern and density layer: After selected, the content
of pattern layer
is dislayed in density layer.
Ø Full screen: Whether the
system is displayed by fully screen.

Mirror color changing table
Ø Set the
color changing after mirrored. When horizontal, vertical, or
mirroring tool is
used, the color changing is according to the
table.
Ø Save plan:
Save the current mirror color changing plan. Next time the
saved plan can be selected in the drop-down list.
Fix kni open way
Ø
Fix pattern file which is not opened by double-click. Mainly fix the
system registry.
Update region base image
Ø Update
region initial position: Difference can be seed by
comparison initial and
modified position. The “Display region
initial position” option needs to be selected.
Ø In default, when opening
pattern, the region position is the
initial position.
Restore the default position of the dialog box
Ø
Each dialog is restored to default initial position.
Task table
Ø Task tabke
must combine with the craft design software. Order fulfillment
can be viewed.
Craft and pattern design staffs can be designated.
Show/Hide folder preview
Ø
In the folder, whether display the preview of pattern files.
File photograph
Ø Select file
photograph in storage path, or use computer to take photograph. Use the
photograph to identify corresponding KNI file. It is that the photograph is
displayed on the navigation window.
Ø Take photograph: or use
computer to take photograph.
Ø
Custom photograph: select the saved photograph on the storage path.
Film vamp compare
Package encryption and unlock
Ø After
package encryption, the package define is not visible. Need to unlock package
then package define is visible and expended.
New BMP color translation table
Ø When new
BMP file is imported, if the stitch in the pattern file has no corresponding
color code in RaynenQili system (such as front and back doffing), the color
translation table will be displayed. This color is replaced with user color
code, then define the user color code.

Machine type
Ø Select
the machine which knit current pattern. Only see the machine
parameters,
machine parameters can’t be modified. Machine parameter editing
need to be in
the machine management menu.
Ø
Detail information: See the selected machine parameters. The parameters
can’t edit.
Knitting parameters
Ø Knitting
parameters content are same as the parameters on the machine screen. If the
knitting parameter file needs to be generated, the “export knitting parameters”
option needs to be selected.
This function is apply to the Raynen
F4000 controller machine.
Need to select this electric controller.

Other
Ø “Compiler”
menu, “yarn feeder direction display” menu, “yarns setting”
menu, “send pattern
to” menu and “shape” menu are same as corresponding
tools on the toolbar.
ؓUser
macro” menu and “tools” menu are same as corresponding tools on
the operation
tools.
Ø “View copy” is that the selected
layer is copied to the other layer.
1 Toolbar
New
Ø Firstly, select the machine type. User can select the corresponding own machine type from the drop-down box, and see parameters of the selected machine, parameters can’t be modified, edit parameters need to be in the machine management menu.
Ø Secondly,
select the size
or input custom size, click OK to enter to the main drawing area.
Open
Ø The KNI, BMP, DAT
file can be opened.
Ø The
Jacquard and Intarsia pattern of the 3.8 version and other software can
be
compatible. Namely, the old Jacquard
and intarsia format can be directly
transfer to the new format when open BMP
file, the Jacquard and Intarsia
carrier need to be reset.
Save
Ø Save the current pattern.
The saved file format is KNI.
All save
Ø Save all of opened pattern files.
Undo
Ø Cancel the
operation on the drawing area. Click once, cancel once
operation. The history
operation about undoing can be display by drop-down
triangle symbol.
ØUndoing
number can be set, the default number is 25. User can modify the
organization
layer, density layer and region layer can be
undone.
Redo
Ø Restore the
operation on the drawing area. Click once, restore once operation. The
history
operation about redoing can be display by drop-down triangle symbol. The
redoing number is same as the undoing number.
Ø Only user has used the
undoing tool, the redoing icon can be activated and highlighted.
ØMultiple
operations can be redone. All operations on the pattern layer, organization
layer, density layer and region layer can be
redone.
Cut selected region
Ø Only the
selected region must have been existed, this icon can be activated and
highlighted. Click the cutting icon, then the content of the selected region
can be cut, the
cut region is the base color (0 color code). Only RaynenQili
pattern design software can
identify the cut
content.
Copy selected region
Ø Only the
selected region must have been existed, this icon can be activated and
highlighted. Click the copying icon, then the content of the selected region
can be copied
into the clipboard. Only RaynenQili pattern design software can
identify the clipboard
content.
Paste
Ø
The clipboard image is pasted into the drawing area.
Click this icon, the
clipboard image follow the cursor to move. Click to finish
paste on the
drawing area.
Ø If the
paste position is the function line, the cursor must be in the function
line
area and shortcut (Ctrl+V) is used, or click the paste icon and the cursor
is
through the menu bar into the function line area.
Grid
Ø Whether
grid is displayed on the drawing area. Click this icon, switch state,
the
highlighted icon is to display grid, the non-highlighted icon is to hide grid.
The default state is to display grid. System can record the user setting.
Tip
Ø Prompt the
coordinates and knitting information of the current cursor
position. Click this
icon, switch state, the highlighted icon is to display
information, the
non-highlighted icon is to hide information. The default state
is to display
information. System can record the user setting.
ØTips contain color, current
position (pattern/organization/density/region/function displayarea), coordinates, color code
and stitch information.
Organization
ØClick this icon, switch state, the highlighted icon is to display organization in the
pattern and organization layer, and display the color number in the density and region
area, the non-highlighted icon is to hide organization. The default state is to display
organization. System can record the user setting.
Center line
Ø Display/hide
the center line function, usually the center line function cooperate with
symmetric function
ØClick
this icon, switch state, the highlighted icon is to display center line, the
non-highlighted icon is to hide center line. Select an area, and select the
“reset center line” menu in the right-click menu of the drawing area. If the
width of selected region is odd, the width of the displayed center line is two.
If the width of selected region is even, the width of the displayed center line
is one. The default state is to hide center line. System can record the user setting.
Symmetrical drawing
Ø Support
symmetrical drawing when use tool, such as brush, polyline, line, curve,
rectangular, filled rectangular, ellipse, filled ellipse, rhombus, filled
rhombus and so on. The default state is to close the symmetrical drawing. System
can record the user setting.
Ø Step:
(1) Open the symmetrical drawing function;
(2) Select the region, then use
“Reset center line” to ensure a center line in right
click menu;
(3) Click the icon to open the
symmetrical drawing function;
(4) Draw
color on the drawing region, display the symmetrical color. Whether the color
is switched when symmetrical drawing, can be set in the “mirror color changing
table” of the advance menu.
Vamp region compare
Ø Contrast area changes before
and after modification. It is apply
to the vamp region.
Ø Display the
region initial position: Display the initial position of the region
before and
after modified.
Color selection
Color selection
Ø Select the
one or multiple color. This function doesn’t have any action. This function is
used to assist the current color or non-current color tools .
Ø After clicked the color selection icon, colors are selected to the color selection table by
clicking the color on the drawing area or color cede table. If selected color
has existed in the table, or double-clicked color in the table, the color can
be deleted from the table. All color can be deleted by the “Cleaning all”
button.
Shielding color
Ø Added color
to the shielding color table, the added colors can’t be covered with other
color. This function is effective when use brush, polyline, line, curve,
rectangular, filled rectangular, ellipse, filled ellipse, rhombus, filled
rhombus and so on.
Ø Click the shielding
color icon, shielding colors are added to the table by clicking the color on
the drawing area or color cede table. If selected color has existed in the
table, or double-clicked color in the table, the color can be deleted from the
table. All color can be deleted by the “Cleaning all” button.
Find color
Ø See and
find the color of the drawing area. If there has been a selected region, only
the colors of the selected area are in the table. Select a color in the table,
click the “previous” or “Next” to find the selected color one by one in the
selected area.
Model replace
Ø The size of
replacing model and replaced model must be same. Get the replacing
model and
replaced model from the selected region.
Ø Step:
(1) Select the replaced model in the drawing area.
(1)
Click the “Find model” icon to display the dialog.
Click the “find” button to get replaced model.
(3) Select the replacing model;
(4) Click the “replaced” button
to get the replacing model.
(5)
Click the “Start replace” to finish the model
replacement. If the “Replaced range” option has been selected, the model replacement function acts on the selected range. Otherwise the effective range is all drawing area.
Film vamp compare
Ø Compare the differences
between film and vamp. It is apply to modify the vamp
pattern.
Scroll the mouse to zoom preview
(1) Import and adjust picture
Ø Right-click the view area,
display right-click menu.
l
Import film: Import the kdm file.
l
Import vamp: Import the scanning image (jpg type) of knitting vamp.
l Move: Hold
down the left mouse button, move the knitting vamp image to
alignment film.
l
Dip:Set the resolution of the image.
The default resolution is
automatically reads the
scanning images.
l Record
relative position/ Back position: record the relative position
between film and
vamp. After moved the vamp image, the relative position
can be restored by
“back position”.
l Photograph
film/vamp: Camera need to be used, not recommended.
Recommend that film/vamp is
the processed images (kdm) or the canning
image (jpg).
l
Display grid: Whether the grid is displayed in the view area.
(1) Modify region
Ø Select range: select the
film range, and select the corresponding range in drawing area.
Ø Move: Hold down the left
mouse button to move the selected range. Match select area: After
selected, select “match select area”, two selected areas will be watched automatically. When
cursor
move in the drawing, corresponding red dot is moving in the view of “film vamp
compare” window.
(1) Add region
Ø Fill color: Use foreground color to fill the selected file area. In region layer corresponding region is modified. Ensure match between film and vamp.
Ø Curve:
Drawing a curve in the “film vamp compare” view, double-click to end and form
an enclosed curve.
Ø
Foreground color: input the color number in the textbox.
Ø Curve fill: Use foreground color to add a new region in the region layer. The region position is corresponding with the enclosed curve.
Compilation information
Ø See the
compilation information. Click the compiler icon to finish compiling, the
compilation information icon switch to highlight. When user closed
the compilation
information interface, click
this icon to open the compilation information interface.

PAT Edit
ØSee and edit the knitting action information. The PAT edit interface can be opened on the compilation information interface. Details are in the compiler chapter.
